Not everyday IKEA. Don't get me wrong, I love the brand. I have IKEA pieces scattered throughout my home, but where else should one shop when you love that modern, clean look, but you need to venture away from IKEA. This post is all about where you can go when you want an alternative to the famous Swedish furniture store.
1. Habitat
Hello Habitat. If you haven't heard about this brand perhaps you should come out and stop living beneath a rock. This cool, contemporary brand offers pocket friendly pieces all whilst maintaining a sleek style.
2. West Elm
West Elm originally started in New York but gained its popularity and became known as a conscious, trendy, home ware store. Fellow Londoners, check out their Tottenham Court road branch, they've currently running a 10% off promotion.
From Hennes to H&M, from clothes to accessories and now they have a pletheral of home ware - I love the awesomeness of H&M. Although the brand don't actually manufacture furniture (yet), you can get some ridiculously dope home accessories from here. From bathroom to bedroom, to living room right through to kitchen, stop by H&M home - it's a must.
4. Muji
Pssst... Anyone else out there totally addicted to stationary? Me too and it was Muji's simple style of stationary what first attracted the teenage me to this brand and why I first began my love affair Muji. The brand is simplicity personified. It prides itself on the notion that 'simplicity is not merely modest or frugal, but could possibly be more appealing than luxury.' So when they branched out into home wares, needless to say I was all over it.
Adventures in Furniture pride themselves on their use of sustainable design and natural minerals. Their ethically sourced, beautifully crafted pieces are definitely not IKEA prices but the saying 'you get what you pay for' couldn't be more true here.
